Bring blankets, have a ball
Bring your family and a new, handmade blanket to the Scout House at 6108 Edloe from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday. Girl Scout troop 25189 is earning their bronze award by making and collecting blankets for Project Linus, a nonprofit that provides children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need with new, handmade blankets for comfort and warmth. Blankets can be any kind (knitted, crocheted, even no-sew). If you don't have time to make one before the party, we will have a blanket making station there where the scouts will help kids learn to make no-sew blankets. The carnival will also include face painting, bounce house, hula hoop contest, games, arts and crafts, and karaoke.
